Honan Chalice

23cm Tall Chalice. Traditional Irish shaped and beautifully proportioned piece. The three-ringed stem gives this chalice a delightful  balance in use.

Since the opening of the Honan Chapel in the grounds of University College Cork, in 1916, its many design features including Harry Clarke’s stained glass windows and the intricate  mosaic floor depicting the  ‘River of Life’ have attracted much interest due to the fine quality of craftsmanship. This piece is a tribute to this wonderful workmanship and design.
